For many centuries we have had a passion for ghost stories. These fables go back to very early times and I do understand where they came from. In the early centuries where many families lived outward in forests and remote areas, in times where there were no newspapers, radio, television and internet, it was easy when someone heard strange sounds coming from the woods by their homes to believe these to be ghostly noises. Also people saw lights in the distance and thought them to be some sort of omen or spirit when, in fact, they were probably gases rising from a creek or tree limbs blowing in the wind. After all, the mind plays funny tricks when your secluded in woods or other frightening places late at night.
